Hi I'm Jeanette!
You might know me from Simplify Your Art, Simplify Your Life or from my free course Simplify Design. If so then you know that I am all about simplifying the process for artists.
Color theory was just not simple enough for me. I needed a different way to learn about color. I didn't want to be told what colors to use, I didn't want to spend countless hours learning things about color that I would probably never use, and buying paint colors that the workshop instructor had me buy [that I never used.]
I’m here to help you simplify color by using my 3 main secrets that will guide you throughout your color journey. Instead of asking, what color should I use, these 3 secrets will help you simplify your color choices while you are still able to use the colors that you want.
One very important fact that you need to remember is that our minds get in the way of our artmaking. Art comes from that sacred place inside of us that the mind can't touch. Stands to reason the need to simplify. Watch video below.
What You’ll Learn in 6 Weeks…
There are 6 modules total in this course,
One per week for 6 weeks,there will also be a Zoom meeting every week to discuss that week's lesson. This is a wonderful time of connection and support as well as Q&A.There will be a pop-up FB group too where you can show your work and gain confidence [I am very proud of the kind and supportive artists in my groups, You will feel supported and welcomed!] The FB group is not mandatory.
The modules are as follows,
Module 1: Your unique color stories, how to find them, and why they are important.
Module 2: In this lesson, we will be learning 3 MAIN secrets to using color in abstract art-making!
Module 3: This lesson is on the Baby Mama Papa method of spatial organization in color. [Learn where to place your colors for the biggest impact.]
Module 4: This lesson is about 2 areas of color that are hardly ever talked about. Sophisticated [or personal color] and also translucent and opaque color.
Module 5: Five different ways to decide on a color palette.
Module 6: How to Simplify Color Using Collage.
I will be answering any and all questions through email just reply to that lesson's email and I’ll respond as soon as I can.Don't forget about the weekly Zoom meetings where you will be able to interact with me and the other members and also get your questions answered!

What IS "THE COLOR"?
“THE COLOR” is not your typical color course. You will not be learning about tertiary or secondary colors. We will not be using the color wheel. Instead, we will be turning color on its head and learning how to make it work in a painting. We will be learning much more with much less. We will be learning how to make color personal to us. It is a 6 week power course with weekly Zoom meetings where you can ask questions and get support from me and the other members.

How long does this course run?
This course is 6 weeks long. You may have the course for 1 year as long as you save your email lessons. I will run the course again yearly for new sign-ups.
